The Department of Texas Emergency Fund has been activated. Legionnaires and Sons of The American Legion who suffered loss because of Hurricane Harvey may apply for assistance by clicking on the link below or on the right side of the website, click on Forms and Publications. The TEF application is listed under Department Forms. You may also contact your District or Division Commander for assistance.
To be eligible to apply for assistance you must:
- Have resided in one of the zip codes that have been officially listed as having been affected by Hurricane Harvey, and
- Been a member in good standing of your respective organization at the time of the disaster (2017 membership year), and
- Submit TEF application with all supporting documentation. Applications may be submitted using email. Ensure the application submitted by email are signed and supporting documentation is included. Email to billw@txlegion.org.
Grants under this program are not restricted to only individuals that were displaced by Hurricane Harvey, Posts are also eligible to apply.
