We are currently waiting on national to print and ship the 2023 Membership cards, due to a paper stock shortage the 2023 membership cards are delayed. Once we receive them, we will ship them out to the Posts. The NTT Indy Car Series is coming to Texas Motor Speedway on March 19th and 20th and the #48 Indy Car that is sponsored by The American Legion will be in the race. As part of the weekend events The American Legion and the Department of Texas will have a membership information booth on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th. American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program where each student becomes a part of the operation of his local, county, and state government.
At American Legion Boys State, participants are exposed to the rights and privileges, the duties and the responsibilities, of a franchised citizen. The training is objective and practical, with city, county, and state governments operated by the students elected to the various offices.
